Moree-based Perkins Air Conditioning & Refrigeration has extensive experience, having installed and maintained all forms of air conditioning from evaporative ducted systems to refrigeration systems like high wall split systems, cassette and under ceiling console units through to refrigerated split ducted reverse cycle air conditioning. We’ve also designed, installed and maintained all forms of domestic and commercial refrigerated cold storage solutions like cold rooms, freezers, glass chillers and more. Our vast range of experience enables us to help a diverse customer base from residential to commercial with any of their air conditioning or refrigeration needs.

I’ve been working in Moree as an air conditioning and refrigeration mechanic since I left boarding school in 2002. I have a strong connection with the regional community having grown up near Walgett and understand how important it is that businesses need a prompt, reliable service with advice they can trust.

Which air conditioner is best for my home?

What is reverse cycle air conditioning?
Reverse cycle means an air conditioning system that provides cooling and heating using the same equipment. The heating process is literally the reverse of the cooling process and is done by the same A/C unit.

What is zoning?
Zones are sections in homes split up during installation with separate ducts to each zone. This lets you cool or heat one zone in your home, without wasting energy heating or cooling your entire home.

How often do I need to clean filters?
Filters should ideally be cleaned each season and more frequently during the hot summer months. You also need to clean the air vents to remove dust, webs, fibres and leaves that can accumulate at the air grill areas.
What is an inverter air conditioner?
An inverter model means that the compressor is powered by a variable speed drive or inverter. This allows the compressor to run at a range of speeds from slow to fast, to match the desired output required. Most conventional compressors run at a constant speed and these types of units vary their capacity by switching on and off at different intervals.
